Security Alert

We have learned that person(s) not affiliated with Citizens Bank have launched a major e-mail campaign to deploy an illegitimate solicitation for personal information and entice recipients to contact the Bank to receive false inheritance funds.

The fraudulent email uses the verbiage “Beneficiary” as the Subject Line.  The letter is also addressed “Attention: Beneficiary”.

To help protect against fraudulent activity, Citizens Bank strongly recommends that up-to-date anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-spyware programs be used by individuals.

Please note that this e-mail correspondence is not from Citizens Bank.  Citizens Bank does not solicit personal information through unsecure e-mails.
